He called a local baker who really didn’t have customer service skills nor quite what we were looking for. After she was told we wouldn’t be using her, she brought her price down considerably…but we didn’t hire her. What about a family tree page and baby names page?
I did not use patterned paper, but did create a strip for the hand cut 1×10 sections using an EK Success Swiss cheese punch for a bubble effect that reflects the party décor. This dot pattern is repeated in the Title and the pattern on the carriage. The white strip of cardstock with the punched holes is applied directly to the limeade green grid. Several of the holes are filled with other colors of cardstock.

The Layout today will be a redo of a 2013 Design Team layout. The original challenge was to add to the pattern layout with a Large Title, Tags and/or Patterned Paper to Page Pattern #141. Before we go into decorations and everything, let’s just highlight some of the different scrapbooking parties that you can have.

Generally, scrapbooks are done in 12 x 12 but they can also be done in 8 x 10, 5 x 7 and 11 x 12. Figure out the size of sheets the book takes before you send out the invites. On each of these sections I strung twine and cording in ¼” intervals to mimic the strands of crepe paper streamers at the party. I anchored them on the backside with double-sided tape. Then each year on their birthday a new page could be made. It would be interesting to see how things change over just a few years. One great idea I heard of was to take pictures of the gift clothes, blankets, anything you would hang on a clothesline at the same distance away from the camera.
